5th Degree Gracie Jiu Jitsu black belt and world class Strength & Conditioning coach Steve Maxwell will be holding two seminars at Lavin Mixed Martial Arts December 9th & 10th.
Dec 9th: Jiu Jitsu for a Lifetime
Steve shares his one of a kind conditioning, strengthening, and mobility system. In addition to the same conditioning secrets Steve has used to train UFC champions and Mundial Black Belts, the seminar will also cover restorative exercises for joints and posture, as well as remedies for the most common injuries associated with Jiu Jitsu. Steve’s system is specifically designed to help overcome the wear and tear from combat sports and tough training. This seminar is a must for any serious athlete or trainer.
Note: this is an entry-level seminar. No Previous Martial Arts Experience Necessary.
Dec 10th: Gracie Jiu Jitsu Weapons Self-Defense
Most people’s experience with Brazilian jiu jitsu is primarily that of sport oriented jiu jitsu. Most sparring sessions will start with a fist bump and immediately sitting your butt on the floor.
That can be a fun game, but there’s a part of Brazilian jiu jitsu that most players are rarely exposed to, and that is the Gracie Jiu Jitsu self-defense system. Building upon the skills taught in sport Jiu Jitsu classes, this seminar will focus on dealing with an assault versus a knife, stick, or gun. Our staff highly recommends this type of training as an addition to regular sport Jiu Jitsu training.
