Enrique was rated as one of the top five lightweight MMA fighters in Mexico, with 28 MMA fights under his belt, . Winning the majority of his fights by submission, Enrique is the rare breed of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instructor who has field tested and proven his Jiu Jitsu in the highest level of mixed martial arts Competition. After winning the XFL Lightweight Championship, Enrique dedicated himself to expanding the presence of Jiu Jitsu in Mexico: building and managing 4 Brazilian Jiu Jitsu academies, as well as creating a country-wide Jiu Jitsu federation that includes 18 fight gyms and being the head coach for the Mexican National Jiu Jitsu team (2011-2014). After starting a family with his American wife, Enrique has moved to Marin County and made Lavin MMA his new home.
Teaching Jiu Jitsu classes in both English and Spanish, Enrique looks to bring Jiu Jitsu to the Bay Area Latino Community.
