Children are taught the fundamentals of Mixed Martial Arts physical skills, with an emphasis on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, and amateur wrestling. Classes are designed to give kids a strenuous physical workout while mastering basic techniques.
From the very first class, new students will work on fundamental punches and kicks, as well as sweeps, throws, and mat grappling. Training is designed to develop real life self defense skills. Each class also features co-ordination and strengthening exercises, as well as endurance building circuit training.
One of the greatest gifts you can give your child is a strong work ethic, coupled with courtesy, self control, and assertiveness. At our gym, we strive to help children apply the lessons they’ve learned on the mat into everyday life. Every training session at Lavin Mixed Martial Arts features mat chats focusing on life lessons and Martial Arts Philosophy. Ideas are presented through engaging, participation focused stories, to help kids understand important ideas without turning into a boring lecture.
